Quileute Tribal Council

The Quileute Tribal Council is made of elders of the La Push community who make decisions on behalf of the tribe. They are descended from the elders before them. Currently the tribal elders consist of: Billy Black, Old Quil Ateara, Sue Clearwater, and Sam Uley. Recently, Harry Clearwater, a long time elder of the tribe, passed on. He will be remembered. Emily Young serves as recordkeeper for the council.
